Daniel in the Lion’s Den

Darius became the ruler over Babylon. He loved Daniel and wanted to make him leader over all the kingdom. Some of the king’s wise men were jealous. Darius reinforced a law that stated that anyone who prays to God would be thrown into a lion’s den. That did not stop Daniel from praying to God. Daniel was thrown into the Den. The king fasted and prayed all night long so that Daniel would not be devoured by the Lions. 
Early the next morning, the king rushed to the lions’ den. He called to Daniel to see if he was still alive. Daniel called back! He told the king that God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths. 

Moved by Daniel's miraculous deliverance, King Darius issues a decree for his people to revere Daniel's God. 

The story of Daniel in the lions’ den is one that recognizes the power and authority of God, as well as the faithfulness of one man of God. The story is significant lance show that our loyalty and faithfulness to God should be unwavering. When we are faithful to him, he will respond to us no matter the suffering or hardship. The story also shows how prayers from others can intercede in moments of despair and desperation in our life. We should be around people who cover us and will go to war for us spiritually. The Lord works things out for good for those who love him.
